The responsibility for environmental protection starts with the management. It defines the environmental policy and actively supports its observance to achieve sustained development. For surface finishing, environmental protection mainly means to detoxify hazardous wastewater from the electroplating shop to such an extent that the plant and animal life in natural bodies of water is not harmed in any way.

In our company, the wastewater (separated into different types) is subjected to a large internal continuous detoxification in treatment basins. The different types of wastewater are detoxified and neutralised with the corresponding chemicals. Afterwards, the suspended particles are removed in baffle plate thickeners. Then the cleaned water is discharged to the public sluice network.
